Carney Barone, 95

GE Retiree

Carney E. Barone of Revere, formerly of Lynn, died on December 11. He was in his 95th year.

A member of the Gannon Golf Club, he was a graduate of Lynn English High School, Class of 1934, and a GE employee for more than 35 years.

He was the beloved husband of the late Grace (Caprera) Barone; loving father of Carmen Barone of Vermont and Carmella Francis of Lynn and the late Gertrude Barone; dear brother of Lucy Klocksom of Saugus and Mary Guaglietta of Florida; cherished grandfather of Denise Morgan, Marie Stinson and John and Joseph Barone and six great grandchildren; dear companion of Frances Williams.

Gregory Krochmal, 60

Worked for GE Aircraft Division

Gregory F. Krochmal of Lynn died at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with his family at his side on December 10. He was 60 years old.

Mr. Krochmal was employed by the General ELectric Company as a Management Tester in the Aircraft Division for 35 years and was a member of the Quarter Century Club.

Born in Lynn, the son of the late Andrew and Catherine “Rita” (Ribrzydowski) Krochmal, he was the husband of Maryann (Page) Krochmal with whom he shared 33 years of marriage; father of Gregory F. Krochmal Jr. and his companion, Daisy Thompson, both of Nahant; brother of Daniel Krochmal of Lynn, Nancy and her husband, Paul Kaminski, of West Peabody and Andrea and her husband, Bruce Fisher, of Lynn. He was the loving grandfather of Gregory Charles Thompson-Krochmal and Gabriella Page Thompson-Krochmal of Nahant and the brother of the late Kenneth and Andrew Krochmal Jr.

Funeral arrangements were by the Nadworny Funeral Home, Lynn. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn.

Robert Hightower Jr.

Chelsea resident

Robert L. Hightower Jr of Chelsea died on December 7.

He was the  devoted father of Robert III and Calinda Goglia, both of Chelsea, and Dacia Gotimer of Lynn; former husband of  Carolyn McKinley of Chelsea; loving brother of Brenda Lindsey of Las Vegas, Patricia Moreno of Chelsea and Shirley Abounaja of Revere. He is also survived by eight loving grandchildren and one great grandchild.
