Tiger Woods

Maybe you listened to him. Maybe you didn’t.

But Tiger Woods’ apology on television last Friday was quintessential American media stuff.

It was fabulous theater. Tiger even choked up a bit.

Bottom line, we thought it was a US Open winning performance by Tiger, who now has come to understand that he has a problem – a terrible addiction – which he is trying to beat.

The addiction he is suffering from is worse than heroin and we frankly wonder how is Tiger going to keep to the straight and true or why, now that he is estranged from his wife?

We believed his confession and we accept his apology.

But in the grander scheme of things, we don’t understand what it meant.

  • The media should stop using Tiger Woods and his family for high ratings and sales. Tiger apologized to everyone and accepted that what he did was very wrong. Tiger confirmed he needs help and that he is receiving rehab to address his issues. Tiger said he wants to regain balance in his life to save the two things that are most important to him, his wife and his children. Tiger is trying to put his life back together and he has a right to do so. It is time for the media to back off and let Tiger and his family move on with their life!!!
