Richard D. O’Connell of Lynn died suddenly on March 16 at Union Hospital. He was 59 years old.
Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late John D. and Ruth (Keefe) ‘Connell. He attended Cambridge schools and was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a furniture mover for the Julien Wright Moving Company for many years.
He is survived by one brother, John D. and his wife, Barbara O’Connell, of Cambridge and Gloucester; two sisters, Margaret F. and her husband, Vincent Minervini of Lynn and Carol E. and her husband, Thomas McAveeney of Medford and his companion, Eleanore Stranos of Lynn as well as many nieces and nephews.
Private services were held at the Nadworny Funeral Home, Lynn.

Mildred B. Fitzgerald of Dedham, formerly of Everett and Lynn, died on March 14.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Jaynes) Fitzgerald, sister of the late William J. Fitzgerald, H. Roy Fitzgerald and Frank W. Fitzgerald, aunt of Nancy E. Martland of Sugar Hill, NH, Thomas R. Fitzgerald of Hudson, NH, Lee A. Fitzgerald of Elkton, VA, great aunt of Samuel J. Martland.
Funeral arrangements were by the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, Dedham. Burial was in Glenwood Cemetery, Everett. For guestbook www.gfdoherty.com
