Keisha Nash-Whitaker will deliver the commencement address at the Lynn Classical High School Class of 2010 graduation ceremony in June.
Principal Gene Constantino announced Monday that Nash-Whitaker, an alumna of Classical, a former model, cosmetics company owner, and the wife of Academy Award-winning actor, producer, and director Forest Whitaker, has accepted the school’s invitation to be the featured speaker at her alma mater.
“We’re excited to have Keisha as our commencement speaker,” said Constantino. “When she came to our school last year to speak to our sophomore class, she did a great job. She is a Lynn woman who has given back to the community.”
Nash-Whitaker has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. She is a former model with the prestigious Ford NY and Elite agencies. She previously worked as a co-host/party planner on the E Network’s “You’re Invited” and co-hosted the Style Network pilot, “A Modern Girl’s Guide to Life.”
Nash-Whitaker helped create Kissable Couture, a luxury cosmetics line, in 2007. She assists many charitable causes.
Keisha and her husband live in California and have four children.
