Helen Clay

Maine resident

Helen M. Clay, of Freedom, Maine died at Maine General Medical Center, Augusta Campus, on October 7. She was 57 years old.

She was born January 10, 1953 in Peabody, daughter of Norbert Landry and Rita (LaFrance) Landry. She was the daughter of he late, Norbert Landry; sister of the late Mark Landry, Elise and Irene Landry, aunt of the late Rita Landry and Tommy.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Clay; her daughter, Jennifer Clay; her sons, Matthew, Jeffery and Jeremy Clay; herdaughters-in-law, Kristin and Nicole Clay; her mother, Rita Landry; her sisters, Therese Dyer and her husband, Rick Dyer, Loretta Pilgrim and her husband, Robert Pilgrim and her brother, Denis Landry and his wife, Hannelore Landry. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

She will be Deeply Missed.

Graveside funeral services were held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Freedom, Maine. In lieu of flowers, friends may make donations in her memory to the breast cancer foundation of choice.

 

Richard Phillips

Richard J. Phillips of Saugus died on November 6.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, a member of VFW Post 2346, Saugus and a N.E. Telephone Co. retiree.

The beloved husband of the late Louise M. (Duchossois) Phillips, he was the loving father of David R. Phillips of Peabody and Denise A. Phillips of Saugus; cherished grandfather of Alyssa and David Jr.; devoted brother of William Phillips of Lynn, Marilyn Duggan of Saugus and Florida and the late Edward Phillips, Ruth Phillips and Eileen Phillips.

His funeral will be held from the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are today, Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Donations in his memory may be made to S/Sgt. Arthur F.
