Stephen Connors

Died suddenly by accident

Stephen R. Connors died suddenly by accident on November 12. He was 57 years old.

An employee of Papa Gino’s in Melrose for more than 10 years, he enjoyed both fishing and bowling.

He was the beloved son of Irene V. (Mahoney) Connors of Melrose and the late John T. Connors; loving brother of Thomas Connors of Revere, Gail Smith of Lynn, Crystal Hunt of Dover, NH, Kathleen Ciampolillo of Everett, and the late Maureen Bayliss. He is also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Funeral at the JF Ward Funeral Home, 772 Broadway, Everett on Thursday, November 18 at 10 a.m. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Mary Halpin

Former member of Sweet Adeline’s of Lynn

Mary L. Halpin of Peabody, formerly Lynnfield, died on November 5 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was 85 years old.

Born in Everett on July 9, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Lauretta (Gillis) Burke.

She was raised in Revere and was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1944 and Burdette Business School. Mrs. Halpin was a Lynnfield resident for 45 years before moving to the Brooksby Village in Peabody in 2005. She worked as a switchboard operator for the Massachusetts General Hospital and also worked for Cigna, which at the time was known as the Insurance Company of North America.

Mrs. Halpin was a choir member at Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Lynnfield and was also a former member of “Sweet Adelines,” a choir group out of Lynn.

She was the wife of the late Leo G. Halpin; the mother of Susan A. Cramer and her husband, Calvin, of Manchester, NH and Emmett R. Halpin and his wife, Dorothy, of Wakefield; the sister of Priscilla Sanchez of Wakefield, Joseph M. Burke of Revere and the late Leo S. Burke and Barbara Lindskoog. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Raymond and Valerie, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were by the McDonald Funeral Home, Wakefield. Burial was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.

 

Robert Dellorto Jr.

Active at Sacred Heart Church in Lynn

Robert J. Dellorto, Jr. of Lynn died on November 7 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers following a brief illness. He was 47 years old.

Born in Everett, he was the son of Robert J. Dellorto Sr., and Anna (Coughlin) Dellorto, father of Robert J. Dellorto III and Michael A. Dellorto, both of Everett, loving brother of Roberta Dellorto of Lynn, Mary Dellorto of Everett, Carol Aronis of California and Maureen Trunfio of Florida. He is also survived by his many friends from Sacred Heart Church in Lynn where he had volunteered over the last several years.
