Edward Kasle

Retired State House Court Officer

 Edward Kasle of Lynn died after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family on August 4. He was 84 years old.

Born in Lynn, the son of the late Kenneth and D. Anna (Kowalczyk) Kisielewski, he was the husband of Claire (Noone) Kasle with whom he shared 58 years of marriage. He graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1945 and was an Associate Member of the AOH Division 10. A US Army veteran of World War II who served in Germany, he was a Court Office in the State House for 20 years until his retirement.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Kim L. and his wife, Janice Kasle of Florida, John T. and his wife, Marie Kasle of Lynnfield, Robert J. and his wife, Heidi Kasle of North Reading and Kevin R. Kasle and his companion, Margaret Phillips of Vermont; one daughter, Anne E. and her husband, Thomas Sellars of Wakefield and one sister, Joan Geary of Lynn. He was the loving grandfather of Candice, Ryan, Lauren, Sean, Samantha, Mackenzie, Delaney, TJ and Matthew and several nieces and nephews and the brother of the late Arthur and Joseph Kasle, Helen Kalapinski and Josephine Robleski.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Nadworny Funeral Home, Lynn. Burial was in Pine Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Pius V Parish or Allcare Hospice, 16 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901.

Nancy Arlene Leydon

Nancy Arlene Leydon of Lynn died peacefully surrounded by her family at Salem Hospital on August 2  following a long illness. She was 68 years old.

Born in Lynn, and a lifelong Lynn resident, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Leydon and Arlene (Hetherington) Doucette. Prior to her retirement, she worked at General Electric for 27 years. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Family meant everything to her. Her grandsons were her life. She also loved crosswords and pets, including Julius and Lynn, her family’s dog and cat. She enjoyed making people laugh,and had faithful friends since childhood.

She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Appleton of Lynn, three beloved grandsons, Matthew Daniel Appleton, Paul Nathan Appleton and John Anthony Appleton, all of Lynn and her great grandson Jackson Ramon Appleton. She was the sister of the late Leo Doucette.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Goodrich Funeral Home, Lynn.
