Increasingly we are hearing more and more about the possible development of the enormous empty space behind the Walmart and the former Build 19 property which sits on the water and is prime real estate.
Whatever shape this possible development is going to take, it needs, above all, the wisdom and the backing of the mayor and of everyone at City Hall.
Without this, the development doesn’t happen and valuable land remains vacant for many more years to come.
The time is now to strike or to at least begin the effort to develop that land.
With interest rates so low, paying for the loan money is easy. However prices are rising for building materials and in another two years, the prices will have risen to a point where such a development might prove to be too expensive to build.
The time to act always is now.
