Lydia Cozza

Of Lynn, formerly of Revere

Lydia Cozza of Lynn, formerly of Revere, died unexpectedly January 29 at her residence.  She was 47 years old.

The daughter of the late Antonio and Gemma (Turano) Cozza, she was a graduate of Revere High School, Class of 1983.  She leaves behind her partner, Joe Chandler of Lynn and her sister, Lori Reardon of Revere.

A private funeral service was held at Goodrich Funeral Home in Lynn.

Margaret Ferrairo

Retired Nurse’s Aide of Saugus, formerly of Revere

Margaret (Verrengia) Ferrairo of Saugus, formerly of Revere, died on February 6.

Margaret, who worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at the Woodlawn Manor Nursing Home, was the beloved wife of the late Alfred G. ; devoted mother of Ann Lupo of Cambridge, Thomas of Lynn, David and his wife, Gail of Haverhill, Joseph and his wife, Bernadette of Peabody and the late Alfred Jr. and Diane Borgasano; dear sister of John Verrengia of Revere, Thomas Verrengia of Saugus and the late Joseph Verrengia, Arthur Verrengia, Benny Verrengia, Tony Verrengia, Anna Dupuis and Mary Mazzola. She is also survived by 13 loving grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and her loving niece, Ann Marinelli, with whom she lived. Thomas Ciulla

Of Lynn, formerly of Everett

Thomas L. Ciulla of Lynn, formerly of Everett, died on February 4. He was 72 years old.

He was the beloved husband of Mary ( Demakis) Ciulla; cherished son of Agnes (Sutera) and the late Accursio “Gus” Ciulla; loving father of Thomas G. Ciulla and his wife, Lillian of Methuen and Stormy and Italiana Ciulla of Lynn; dear brother of Angela Biggie and her husband, Francis and Roseann Ciulla, all of Revere.

Emilia Aliberti

Long Time Cook at Augustine’s Restaurant

Emilia (Navarra) Aliberti of Lynn, formerly of Everett, died peacefully at the Mass General Hospital on February 1. She was 90 years old.

The daughter of the late Tomasso and Giovanna (Albano) Navarra, she was born in the town of Siano (Salerno), Italy on June 24, 1922. She had a natural radiance about her that always lit up the room. Emilia was loved by everyone especially her Paisans of Everett. A great cook and baker, she worked as a cook for many years at Augustine’s Restaurant along with raising her five children.

Emilia was the wonderful  wife of the late Antonio Aliberti and the loving mother of Joanne Darche and her husband, William of Lynn,  Peter Aliberti and his wife, Magda of Byfield, Lucia DiGiacomo of Arlington, her youngest son,  Rocco Aliberti of Denver, Colorado and the late Vito Aliberti. She will be missed by her eight grandchildren: Joey, Maria, Tony, Emily, Anthony, Michael, Rocky and Adriana and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were by The Murphy O’Hara Funeral Home, Everett. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
