Angelo DiIorio is a recent graduate of the New England Hair Academy in Malden and now the owner of a new barbershop in Lynn.
DiIorio hosted the grand opening for his new business, Classy Edge Barbers, Saturday at 13 Boston St., Suite 2.
DiIorio, 23, has been a professional barber for three years. He completed a year of study at New England Hair Academy and soon realized his dream of opening his own business.
“I always wanted to own my shop,” said DiIorio, who grew up in Revere. “I saw an online advertisement for this location and decided to pursue it. I painted the interior, put in some new chairs and mirrors, and did some touch-ups. We have a main room with four stations and a waiting room.”
Classy Edge offers haircuts, fades, lineups, blowouts, beard trims, hot towel shaves, and straight edge shaves. Haircuts are $15 for adults, $12 for children, and $10 for seniors.
“It’s exciting to be up and running,” said DiIorio, who has Hair Academy graduates on staff. “We have a nice environment and do nice haircuts. We do some of the old-school stuff with hot towel and straight edge shaves.”
Adriana DiIorio, 28, attended the grand opening, saying she was quite proud of her younger brother.
“I’m so proud of him,” said Adriana. “He’s very ambitious, very professional and very talented and I know he’ll go a long way.”
Classy Edge Barbers is open seven days a week, Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday through Monday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
