Ruth Blaisdell

Worked for MKS Instruments

Ruth J. (Ramsdell) Blaisdell of Lynn died at home surrounded by her loving family on March 29 after a long illness. She was 63 years old.

Born in Beverly, the daughter of the late Raymond and Ruth (Greenwood) Ramsdell, she was a mechanical assembler for MKS Instruments for 10 years.

She is survived by three daughters: Cindy Kent of Lynn, Kim and Jose Pestana of New Bedford and Kerry Martine of Lynn. She was the sister of Raymonda and Robert of Gloucester and Renee Ramsdell of California; loving grandmother of 13 grandchildren: Cassandra, Savanah, Salinah, Savvory and Savanny Kent, Joshua, Thomas and Andrew Dombrowski, Shaniah Brewster and her fiancée, Marcus Holder, Dylan, Vasquez, Alden, Alexys Martinez and two great grandchildren, Serianah Brewster and Ricky Ricketts.

Visiting hours will be held in the Nadworny Funeral Home, 798 Western Avenue, Lynn, today, Tuesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. Services and internment will be private. For directions and guest book: nadwornyfuneralhome.com

Joan Cormier

Worked for Clough Printing Company

Joan F. (Levesque) Cormier of Salem, Lynn and Rowley died at a local nursing home on March 25 after a brief illness. She was 80 years.

Born in Salem, the daughter of the late Lougee and Mary (Meunier) Levesque and the wife of the late Richard Cormier, she was educated in Salem Public Schools and was employed at the Clough Printing Company with her husband for many years.

While living in Lynn, she resided at St. Mary’s Plaza and was an avid Beano player. She enjoyed raising her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters: Janet T. Cormier of St. Petersburg, Florida, Lina J. Cormier and her husband, Fred Collins of Tubac, Arizona and Debra J. Cormier and her husband, Robert Dyer of Rowley; her loving brother and sister George Levesque of Peabody and Jacqueline Femino of Salem and her baby sister, Claire Benedict of Beldine, MI. She was the beloved grandmother of Ronda, Jennifer, Julie and Jackie and great grandmother of Mason; the mother of the late Richard L, David P. and Duane E. Cormier and the sister of the late Ronald Levesque. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Died in her 108th Year

Antonetta (Caserta) Mario, Born May 18, 1905 – died March 21, 2013 in her 108th year.

She was the beloved wife of the late Carmine Mario; loving mother of Carmen of Peabody, Anthony and his wife, Josephine and Teresa Pittella, all of Lynn, and the late Christy and his late wife, Kay of East Boston; grandmother of Carmen, Alphonse and Antonetta Mario, Michelle Turmenne, Christine Faller, Sandy William, Stephen Mario, Robert and William Pittella, Michael, Joseph, Christopher and Martin Mario, Mary Ann Zaluski and Cathy Redler; great-grandmother of Christopher, David, Nicholas and Sydney Mario, Michael and Matthew Turmenne, Andrew and Colin Faller, Crayton and Bretton William, Lisa, Robert Jr. and Joseph Pittella, Andrea Donovan, Thomas Mario, Ryan Zaluski, Christy Elizabeth, Angelo and Martin Mario, Nolan, Mariah and Christy Redler; great-great grandmother of Emma and Jack Donovan and Henry and Mary Catherine Mario.

A private service and mass was held at Sacred Heart Church.  Arrangements were provided by Magrath Funeral Home.

God blessed you with a long and healthy life and we were truly blessed to have you all this time.
