Paul Gardner

Board Member of Listening Place in Lynn

Paul Gardner of Peabody, formerly of Auburn, New Hampshire died on June 29 after a long illness at the Aviv Center for Living in Peabody. He was 65 years old.

A graduate of Fitchburg High School and Fitchburg State College, he was a board member of the Listening Place in Lynn, a former employee of the Mass. General Physician’s Organization as an Associate Director and a Vice President of the Bank of New Hampshire. He volunteered at the Aviv Center for Living while in residence at the assisted living facility. He also dedicated his life serving as Chaplain in All Saints Center Lowell.

We wish to thank the Jewish Community at AVIV and all those who attended to his loving care and the people of North Shore Hospice and the support from those members of Saint Medical Center of Lowell.

Born in Fitchburg, the son of the late Victor and Lorraine (Billings) Gardner and the husband of the late Amelia (Almeida) Gardner, he is survived by his mother in law, Eva M. Almeida of Lynn, his sister in law, Olga A. Almeida and her husband, William Sullivan of Fairfield, CT, his uncle, Rev. Alfonse Ferreira, O.F.M. Director of the Listening Place of Lynn, his nephew, William Sullivan, Jr. and a niece, Laura Sullivan of Fairfield, CT. and also his friend Jeff Smarse and his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Anne Church, 292 Jefferson Avenue, Salem, today, Tuesday, at 10 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg.
