The long-awaited opening of Rossetti Restaurant at the corner of Liberty and Sutton streets in Lynn is here, as the well-known Winthrop eatery finally opens it doors in Lynn with a full service Italian restaurant and craft bar beginning at 4 p.m. tonight, November 5, 2013.

“We’re just very excited to be opening this restaurant here,” said co-owner Bobby Rossetti, who together with his brother Steve has been operating the family’s Winthrop restaurant for more than a decade. “We’ve got a great team supporting us and we’ve had a lot of help from the people at City Hall, like Jamie Marsh, Allison Goldberg and Jim Cowdell, to our wonderful staff that has worked so hard to make this happen.”

The family’s Winthrop restaurant is famous as a brown bag restaurant, where diners can bring their own alcoholic beverages in.

However, in Lynn, Rossetti Restaurant will feature a craft bar, that specializes in cocktails and paying attention to the details.

As the owners explained, “Our bar staff is fantastic, they make their own bitters and ginger beer and have infused their own cellos, adding lime, orange and grapefruit to the popular Limoncello liquer.”

The bar staff has also prepared for their guests by creating oak-barrel aged cocktails, cutting their own ice, infusing vodkas for the bar and more.

“I’m convinced that this is going to be one of the best craft bars. Not just in Lynn or the North Shore, but in Greater Boston,” said Bobby Rossetti.

Of course, what has made Rossetti’s so popular in Winthrop is its food, with a menu created and perfected by Steve Rossetti and his staff over the years. The menu will feature specialties like Grilled Chicken Bracioletini, stuffed with Prosciutto, mozzarella and herbs; Chicken Margherita; and a 42-day aged pan roasted sirloin “Mafiosa.”

Managing the new restaurant will be Chris Rossetti, Bobby’s son, who trained at Johnson and Wales as a chef and restaurant manager and worked at such well-known establishments and chains as Cheesecake Factory, Legal Seafoods, Top Of the Hub and Mistral. Assistant General Manager James Williams will assist Chris with day to day operations.

Rossetti Restaurant will be open for dinner Tuesdays through Thursdays, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Fridays through Sundays from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The bar apapers.org will stay open until 11p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Reservations are welcome by calling 781-599-2051.
