Jennie Ann Bering

Retired Nurse

Jennie Ann Bering of Lynn, formerly of Winthrop, passed away on April 1 after a prolonged illness. She was 77 years old. Born in Winthrop, the beloved daughter of the late Ann Marie (Donovan) and Henry H. Bering, she was a graduate of Chelsea Memorial Hospital Nursing School and went on to work at the Massachusetts General Hospital for more than 31 years. She served as a Lt. Commander in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, stationed at a hospital in California. and also traveled extensively throughout the world.

She was the dear sister of Donna Bering and her husband, Joseph Mooney of Wakefield and Pat White and her husband, Edward of Needham.

Anthony DeCarlo

Of Lynn, Formerly of East Boston

Anthony M. DeCarlo of Lynn, formerly of East Boston, died on April 11.

A US Navy veteran of World War II, he was the husband of Mary (Bocchetti) DeCarlo; devoted father of Mary E. Fronduto and her husband, Vincent of East Boston and

the late Anthony DeCarlo and his surviving spouse, Lynda; dear brother of Mary Long of East Boston; cherished grandfather of Jennifer and Jessica Fronduto, Elizabeth St. Andre and her husband, Thomas and Joshua DeCarlo and his wife, Meaghan and the adored great grandfather of Thomas and Vincent. Special thanks is extended to Anthony’s devoted caretaker, Nellie O’Sullivan for all she has done.

Sheila Marie Inferrera

Retired Edith Nourse Rogers VA Hospital Environmental Services Management Supervisor

Sheila Marie (Mullen) Inferrera of Lowell and Lynn died Thursday, April 3 at N.S.M.C. Union Hospital in Lynn after a long illness. She was 69 years old.

A daughter of Louise May (McCaul) Currier of Chelmsford and John Edward Mullen of Lynn, she was born November 4, 1944 in Lynn and grew up and was educated in Bedford.

She made her home in Lowell until seven years ago when she moved to Lynn to help her father. She enjoyed shopping, spiritual things including psychics and also loved the beach. She worked as a supervisor of environmental management services for the Edith Nourse Rogers Veterans’ Hospital for more than 30 years until illness forced her retirement earlier this year.

In addition to her parents, Louise May and John Edward, she is survived by her children, Victoria Armstrong and her husband, Ray of Brookline, NH, Leni Centerrino of Brookline, NH, Richard Clark of Lowell, Lincoln Clark of Lowell, Darlene Atteridge and her husband, Lane of Billerica and Stephen Centerrino and his wife, Andrea of Braintree; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; her brother, John Currier and his wife, Paula, of Lowell and her sister, Sharon Currier of Arizona. She is also survived by many close community friends and neighbors in Lynn, by her close friends at the Bedford VA Hospital and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
