Congratulations, Jeff Waldron On BC Hall of Fame Induction

We join the Lynn community in congratulating Jeff Waldron on his upcoming induction in to the Boston College Hall of Fame.

It’s one thing to play a sport at the highest level of collegiate athletics as Jeff did in the Division 1 BC Eagles baseball program. But to soar to the heights he did and to earn the college’s highest athletic honor is a superb accomplishment earned only by the very best.

We remember Jeff Waldron’s outstanding high school career, first at St. Mary’s and later at Lynn Classical, where his exploits earned him a berth in the Classical Hall of Fame.

When the Boston Red Sox selected Jeff in the 1999 Baseball Draft, he could have jumped right in to a professional baseball career. But Jeff chose to attend Boston College, one of the most prestigious institutions in the world. Jeff received his degree from BC and became a Hall of Fame-caliber athlete. He then continued his career in professional baseball. Playing the position of catcher affirmed his toughness and grit, in the Red Sox Diamondback and Texas Ranger organizations.

Jeff Waldron has always conducted himself so professionally in his athletic and academic career, and in his endeavors as an educator, guidance counselor, and coach.

We look forward to being at Boston College with Jeff Waldron, his wife, and the Waldron family when he enters the Hall of Fame so we can chronicle this awesome event for our readers, many of whom saw Jeff excel on the playing fields in this city from Little League and Pop Warner through Greater Lynn Babe Ruth and Lynn Classical High School.
