LACC launchs Young Professionals imitative
The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce will launch its Young Professionals imitative on Thursday, July 23rd on the rooftop of the All Care VNA Building, 210 Market Street in Lynn with Spirit and food tasting from 5:30pm – 8:00pm. Ryan & Wood Distillery from Gloucester will showcase their line of Vodka, Run, Whiskey and Gin and Mystic Brewery from Chelsea will offer samplings of a variety of beer. North Shore bartending will serve as a cash bar and offer a variety of beverages. Young entrepreneurs from both businesses will speak briefly about owning and growing their businesses.
“The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce has had as surge in young professionals joining,” says President/CEO Leslie Gould. “One of our members, attorney Brendan Ward approached me to see if we could offer events and workshops for young entrepreneurs and professionals that speak to their generation.” While a young professionals group isn’t a new idea says Gould there’s a been a very positive buzz of support for this initiative for the LACC.
The Committee comprised of tri-chairs Brendan Ward (Ward Estate & Family Law), Brendan Freeman (Wayne Alarm Systems), Anthony Migliaccio. (Salvy the Florist) and committee members Joe Scianatico (Salem Five), Jim Reese (Welch Florist) and Andrew Nazzaro (KW Insurance) have been working to create a series of networking events and substantive workshops tailor made for a younger generation ages 25 – 45 years old but all members and non-member business owners and employees are always invited.
Lead sponsors for the event are Leahy Landscaping and Bronze sponsors are the Atlantic Referral Exchange BNI Lynn and People’s United. Sponsorship Opportunities are still available and cover the 2015 – 2016 series being planned.

Planet Fitness Joins LACC
Planet Fitness recently joined the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce. Located at 50 Boston Street the gym offers members over 150 pieces of equipment in their 20,000 square foot space.
Owner, Taylor Mandell says the Lynn community has warmly welcomed the business and proved it by having one of the biggest openings in their experience with the franchise.
