New Schools Vote Set for Tuesday, March 14

On Tuesday, March 14 the question goes before Lynn residents to vote for or against the building of two new schools on Parkland Avenue by Breed’s Pond  and at McManus Field on Commercial Street.

Brant Duncan, head of the Lynn Teachers Union, and Don Castle of the Protect Our Reservoir, Preserve Pine Grove, spoke to the Lynn Chamber of Commerce at a meeting Wednesday morning.

Brant Duncan, head of the Lynn Teachers Union, spoke in favor of building the new school at the Parkland Avenue location. Duncan cited the state of the current school, overcrowding and the need to offer all students the same access to classes and technologies that they receive at the Marshall Middle School.
