Assumption College has announced the students who have been named to the College’s Dean’s List for the fall 2019 semester. To be named to the prestigious list, which is announced at the completion of the fall and spring semesters, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 for a five-class, 15-credit semester. Local students include:
Emma Panacopoulos of Lynn Class of 2021
Brady Ryan of Lynn Class of 2023
“Students who are recognized by the Dean’s List have demonstrated a commitment to hard work and academic excellence,” said Francesco C. Cesareo, Ph.D., president of Assumption College. “These students are dedicated to their academic and intellectual lives, excelling in their programs of study, embodying the College’s mission of forming graduates of critical intelligence, thoughtful citizenship, and compassionate service through a comprehensive Catholic, liberal arts education.”
An Assumption education prepares students to succeed in a continuously changing world and for jobs that do not yet exist. Steeped in the liberal arts tradition, students studying at Assumption are exposed to a broad range of disciplines in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences as they explore fundamental questions characteristic of the liberal arts, while also learning best-practices and developing valuable communication and critical-thinking skills, traits sought after by employers in nearly every industry. A combination of classroom theory and hands-on learning through internships, participation in community service, or one of the more than 60 on-campus clubs and organizations help students develop into leaders who will make a difference in the communities in which they live and work.
