There are fewer accidents – and fewer drunken driving incidents as a result of the rollback in hours.
There are also fewer calls to the police.
Alcohol, wherever it is served, tends to cause problems.
The hour cutback reduced those problems.
Restoring the hour lost would be a step backward.
