Amtrak retiree
Jerome MacDonald of Revere, formerly of Cambridge, died on February 5 following a long illness. He was 81 years old.
A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and an Amtrak retiree, he was the beloved husband of 51 years of Rose G. (Dutra); devoted father of Daniel J. and his wife, Marjorie, of Malden, James E. and his wife, Stacey, of Saugus, Chief Petty Officer Kenneth P. MacDonald, US Navy and his wife, Lori, of Oxnad, CA and Geri-Lynne Bechat and her husband, Hanson, of Tewksbury; dear brother of Hilda King of Medford, Robert MacDonald and his wife, Elizabeth, of Lynn and the late Raymond MacDonald and Donna Surprise. He is also lovingly survived by his grandchildren, Samantha, Aaron, Jonathan, Joseph, Tori, Allyson and Sydney and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Vertuccio Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway, (Rt. 107), Revere, Wednesday, February 10 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Revere at 10 a.m. Visiting hours are today, Tuesday only, from 5 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.
