John Mansfield

Lynn resident

John G. Mansfield of Lynn, formerly of Ipswich, died on November 19. He was 64 years old.

A US Marine veteran of the Vietnam Era, he had had been employed for more than 10 years as a transportation manager for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center. He previously worked for the Department of Public Health as a manager for the Ambulance Regulatory Program.

He was the beloved husband of 41 yrs. of Mary H. “Posie” (Means) Mansfield; loving father of Mary “Aimee’” Mansfield and Alison M. Ness and her husband, Christopher, all of North Andover, Erik G. Mansfield and his wife, Theresa, of Gloucester and John G. Mansfield and his wife, Lisa, of Salisbury; cherished grandfather of Devon and Preston Mansfield, Ryan and Jason Ness and Jacob Mansfield; brother of Virginia Trampe of Quechee, VT, Karen Mansfield of Plymouth, VT and Carol Grimes of Hamilton.

Visiting hours at the Campbell – Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, (North Beverly location) are today, Tuesday, from 4 to 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Andrew Cullen VMD

Founder of Everett Animal Clinic

Andrew P. Cullen VMD of Everett died on November 17.

Dr. Cullen was the founder and owner of the Everett Animal Clinic and a Korean War Decoder for the U.S. Army.

He was the former husband of Celine (Lisbinsky); father of Steven M. of Lynn, Lenore DeLaine of Tyngsboro and David C. of Lynn; brother of Joseph of Tewksbury and the late Dorothy. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Lenore, Steven, Derek and Kevin.

George MacDonald

US Postal Service retiree

George W. MacDonald of Revere died unexpectedly on November 10 at the Whidden Memorial Hospital. He was 86 years old.

Born and raised in Chelsea, he moved to Revere in 1963. Mr. MacDonald was a 40 year employee of the US Postal Service working at the South Postal Annex in Boston in a managerial position. He was a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1942 and served with the US Navy from June of 1942 until July of 1947 as a Pharmacist’s Mate, 1st Class.

He was the husband of 60 years to Mary E. (Finnegan); father of Brian MacDonald and his wife, Janice, of Lynn and Barry T. MacDonald of Revere; cherished grandfather of Meaghan M. MacDonald of Cape Coral, Florida and Evan M. MacDonald of Lynn. He also leaves two brothers, Edwin MacDonald of Melrose and Robert MacDonald and his wife, Virginia, of Tennessee. He was the brother of the late Arthur MacDonald and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals of Revere.
