Gloria MacDonald

Of Lynn, formerly of Revere

Gloria E. (DeLena) MacDonald, formerly of Revere, died unexpectedly in Lynn on April 7. She was 80 years old.

She was the wife of the late Frank “Mac” MacDonald; cherished mother of Steven R. MacDonald and his wife, Wendy, of Lynn, Lt. Col. Charles R. MacDonald and his wife, Stephanie, of Fort Monroe, VA and the late David R. MacDonald; cherished grandmother of Meredith N. MacDonald of Lynn, Kendall M. and Kaitlin E. MacDonald, both of Revere, Elizabeth K. and Nicholas J. MacDonald, both of Fort Monroe, VA; dear sister of Joseph V. DeLena of Indian Rocks, FL, Richard DeLena and his wife, Marilyn, of Florida, Robert DeLena and his wife, Joan, of Melrose, Jerry DeLena, Frank DiLena and his wife, Esther, all of Revere and the late Ronald and Louis DeLena, Rose Marotta and Catherine Penza. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Family & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Vertuccio & Smith Home for Funerals, 773 Broadway (Rt. 107), Revere today, Tuesday, April 12 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Revere at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Danvers, MA 01923.

Long time waitress at Ocean Delight

Gwendolyn Caroline (Lee) Puzzo Gallagher of Lynn died at a local nursing home after a long illness on April 7. She was 76 years old.

A waitress at Ocean Delight for many years, she was born in New York, the daughter of the late John and Roxanne (Milwood) Lee She was the wife of the late Joseph Puzzo and the late John Gallagher and is survived by three sons, Anthony J. Puzzo of North Andover, Nick Puzzo of Lynn and Michael Puzzo of Peabody and two daughters, Vicki Nazzaro of Middleton and Joanne and her husband, Phil Pierce, of Lynn. She was  the beloved grandmother of eight and great grandmother of three and also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Graveside sercices will be held Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at 10 a.m. gathering at the main entrance at 9:45 a.m. Arrangements are by the Nadworny Funeral Home, 798 Western Avenue, Lynn.
