Stephen Smith

Stephen L. Smith of Revere, formerly of Lynn, died suddenly on February 1 at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 80 years old.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Lynn, attended Lynn Schools and St. Michaels in Vermont. A US Army veteran and a former 20 year employee of the Bowne Printing Co., Boston, he was a true gentleman and good friend to many.

He was the beloved husband of 35 years of Lucille (Marino); devoted father of David Ventola and Stacy Ventola, both of Revere and Steven Ventola of Florida; cherished papa of Krista Ventola of Florida; loving son of the late James L and Irene (Gunn).

Visiting hours will be held in the Paul Buonfigflio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere today, Tuesday, February 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice . Joseph Cambria

Of Revere, formerly of East Boston

Joseph Cambria of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died on February 4.

A US Army veteran, he was the beloved husband of the late Josephine (Amato) Cambria with whom he shared 60 years of marriage; loving father of Paul Cambria of Arizona; dear brother of the late Josephine Gano, Beatrice Scarino, Grace Giuffre, Nicholas and Pasquale D’Angelo and Salvatore Cambria; grandfather of Paul Cambria of Peabody, Ronny Cambria of Lynn and also leaves three great grandchildren.

His Funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach Street, Revere, today, Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a service in Vazza’s Chapel of the Resurrection at 12:30 p.m. Family and friends may visit today from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.. Anna Phillips

Worked for Cool Ray Polaroid

Anna M. (Bidder) Phillips of Saugus died January 31 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House after a brief illness. She was 92 years old.

Born in Brighton, the daughter of the late Jacob and Rose (Foley) Bidder and the wife of the late Edwin A. Phillips, before her retirement, she was an inspector at the Cool Ray Polaroid Company in Chelsea for 41 years.

A wonderful mother and a loving grandmother, she is survived by one son, Kenneth E. Phillips of Boston and one daughter, Patricia A. and her husband, Daniel George of Saugus. She was the loving grandmother of Christopher George and great grandmother of Aiden B., Christopher E. and Novi M, all of Saugus. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Harold, Alan, Robert, Elmer and Dorothy Bidder.

Private funeral services will be held at the Holy Cross Mausoleum in Malden. At her request, there will be no visiting hours. Funeral arrangements were by the Nadworny Funeral Home, Lynn.
