Mathieu J. Michuad

Lynn Resident

Mr. Mathieu J. “Matty” Michaud, 26, of Lynn, the beloved son of Robert and Kathleen (Carroll) Michaud, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 26, 2012 in Brigham & Women’s Hospital.

Matty attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.  He later obtained his Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice.  He lived in Lynn his entire life.

Matty was previously employed by the Home Depot in Salem.  An avid sports enthusiast, he enjoyed hockey, football, baseball, and was an avid Bruins fan.  His family was very important to him but above all, his daughter was the love of his life.  He will be missed by his family who loved him so much.

In addition to his parents, he leaves his beloved daughter, Ambrielle May Michaud and her mother Felicia Adamson of Revere.  He also leaves his brothers, Robert “Big Rob” Michaud, Cpl  Michael R. Michaud, USMC, and Justin T. Michaud all of Lynn.  He also leaves his maternal grandmother, Janice Carroll of Lynn and his paternal grandparents, Frank and Carol Vernava of Wolfboro, NH and Janice Michaud of Salem.  Also survived by many aunts uncles, cousins and friends.  He was the grandson of the late Richard Carroll and Raymond Michaud.

Mary Lynn Bryson

Mrs. Mary Lynn (Bouffard) Bryson, 48, of Lynn died Tuesday at home after a lengthy illness. She was the beloved wife of Michael T. Bryson, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage.

Mary Lynn was born in Cambridge, daughter of the late Norman and Marilyn (French) Bouffard. She was a resident of Lynn for the past 17 years and previously resided in Somerville and Peabody. She was a graduate of Peabody High School Class of 1981 and attended North Shore Community College where she received her associates degree.

She worked at West Lynn Creamery for several years.

Mary Lynn enjoyed many things, helping people, writing poems, knitting and reading. She loved her religion and was also a Religious Education Teacher at St. Pius V Parish. She was a communicant of St. Pius V Church. She also loved baseball.

In addition to her loving husband she is survived by 2 sisters Doreen O’Leary and her husband James of Amesbury and Joan Demosthenes and her husband George of New Market, NH. Her Godson Justin O’Leary. She is also survived by her extended family her sisters and brothers in law and many nieces and nephews. Mary Lynn had a special love for her cats Georgie and Lady McBeth.

Mary Lynn’s Funeral will be from the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME, 157 Maple St. Lynn Saturday at 11 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Pius V Church at 12:00 noon. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Friday from 4-7 PM. Florence Fitzgerald

Mrs. Florence A. (Sliney) Fitzgerald, age 94, of Lynn, died on Monday, July 30, 2012.

She was the wife of the late George L. Fitzgerald.

Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident of the City, she graduated from Lynn English High School.

During WWII she worked as an inspector at the G.E.

She was the mother of George L. Fitzgerald, Jr. of Lynn, and of Elizabeth Finneran and her husband Michael of Conway, SC, and the grandmother of Shawn Finneran and his wife Lisa of NH. Florence also leaves 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Francis Sliney, Edward Sliney and Elizabeth Sliney, and grandmother of the late Kim Finneran.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 9AM in the CUFFE-McGINN FUNERAL HOME 157 Maple Street, Lynn, followed by burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Frederick Kinnally

Frederick T. Kinnally of Lynn died on August 2 at Salem Hospital.

He was the beloved husband of Sandra (Arcand) Kinnally and is also survived by his children, Karen (Kinnally) King and her husband, James of Virginia, Mary Kinnally of Puerto Rico and Brianna and Daniel Kinnally of Lynn; his brothers, Robert Kinnally of Chelsea, Henry Kinnally and his wife, AnnMarie of Revere, and his sister, Carolyn (Kinnally) Cote and her husband, William of Billerica. He was the brother of the late Daniel, Raymond, David and John.

His Funeral will be held from the Cuffe-McGinn Funeral Home, 157 Maple Street, Lynn on Wednesday at 8 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Pius V Church, Lynn at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn. Dana Cook of Saugus, formerly of Orient Heights East Boston, died on July 31.

He was the beloved husband of Diane (Masiello) Cook with whom he shared 39 years of marriage; loving father of Anthony Cook and his fiancé, Brooke Harrison of Lynn and Dina Cook and her fiancé, Robert Flaherty of Swampscott; dear brother of Donald Cook and his wife, Janine of Wakefield, Paul Cook and his wife, Nicole of Saugus and the late Barbara Jean Donlon and  her husband, Robert of New Hampshire; cherished grandfather of Gianna and Declan; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and best friend of Mookie O’Connor.

Ann Abbott-McCarty

Ann I. (Felt) Abbott-McCarty, a 50 year resident of Lynn, died Friday, July 27 in her home after a long illness.  She was 72 years old.

Born in Poughkeepsie, NY, the daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Shire) Felt, she was the beloved wife of Philip McCarty with whom she shared over 30 years.  In addition to her husband, she leaves her son, John A. Abbott III of Lynnfield and her stepchildren, Peter McCarty and Suzan McCarty, both of Lynn.  She was the grandmother of John A. Abbott IV and Allyson Abbott and is also survived by her brother, Peter Felt of Stockton Springs, Maine.  She was the mother of the late Allan Abbott.

John Richard Limoli

Of Maine, Formerly of Revere

John Richard Limoli of Maine, formerly of Revere, died on July 30.

A US Navy Vietnam Veteran, he was the beloved son of Grace (Deel) Limoli and the late Joseph Limoli, the loving father of Robin Adam Limoli of Maine and John Joseph Limoli of Lynn; dear brother of Diane Limoli of Framingham, Daniel Limoli of Maine and Cathy Limoli of Revere and cherished grandfather of five.

Alice Chaloner-Bennett-Smith

Active Volunteer in Many Organizations

Alice J. (Pelley) Chaloner-Bennett-Smith, a 56 year resident of Lynn, died July 29 at her son’s home after a brief illness. She was 84 years old.

The wife of the late Albert W. Smith, she was born in Lynn, daughter of the late Alfred S. and Louise T. (Tucker) Pelley. She was a graduate of Beverly High School and worked for John Hancock Insurance Company for several years.

She was devoted to her family and was involved in the community in many different ways. She was a long time member of Washington Baptist Church where she also served as Past President of the Women’s Association. She was the Superintendent of the Kindergarten Sunday School at Washington Street Baptist for 30 years. She served as Past President of the Church Woman United of Greater Lynn and Salem, as Ecumenical Action Chairman for the Churchwomans United of Mass. She was Past President of the Lynn Band Boosters. She was also a former member of the Board of Directors for LEO, a long time active member of the Shoe City Lions Club and also enjoyed volunteering at Union Hospital and Atlanticare.

She is survived by three sons: George A. Chaloner of Vietnam, Thomas D. Chaloner and his wife, Donna of Georgetown and William P. Bennett and his wife, Cinthia of York, PA; her step children, Paul A. Smith, Sr. and his wife, Barbara of Cape Coral, FL and Richard Bennett of Danvers. She was the loving grandmother of 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and the mother of the late Terri L. Vickers and step mother of the late Dorothy Meader and Donald Bennett and sister of the late Ray and William Pelley.

Joanne (Galvin) Dorlando of Revere died on July 27.

She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard Dorlando; loving mother of Robert Dorlando of Revere and Deidrea DiCicco of Lynn; cherished grandmother of Ryan Dorlando and Olivia DiCicco.
