John Winn

Teamsters Union Member

John H. Winn of Lynn, formerly of East Boston, died suddenly on October 2.

A member of the Teamsters Union Local 25, he was the beloved son of the late Doris E. (Noble) and Harold E. Winn Sr. ; brother of Joseph M. and his wife, Susan and Marion V., all of East Boston, and the late Thomas S. and Harold E. Winn Jr. and loving companion of the late Rosalie Famingnetti. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Gertrude Drauchun

General Electric Retiree

Gertrude T. (Dagiel) Drauchun of Atlantis, Florida, formerly of Ipswich and Lynn, died at the Pacifica senior Living in Green Acres, Florida. She was 93 years old.

Born in Ipswich, the daughter of Emil and Teofilia (Szarycz) Dagiel and the wife of the late Charles J. Drauchun, she lived in Lynn and Ipswich prior to her retirement from the General Electric Company where she built after-burners for jet engines. After retiring, she lived in Falls Church, Virginia for many years before moving to Florida.

She is survived by her son, Roland Drauchun of Alexandria, VA; two daughters, Karen Lee of Falls, Church, VA and Paula and Dr. Alan Michelson of Atlantis, Florida; a sister, Evelyn Curley of Peabody. She was the sister of the late Jeanette Archis and late sister in law of Caroline Myslinski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, 28 St. Peter St., Salem on Thursday, October 18 at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lynn. Shanelle Jean Abric

Revere School Bus Monitor

Shanelle Jean Abric of Revere, formerly of East Boston, died unexpectedly on October 7. She was 30 years old.

Shanelle was a graduate of East Boston High School, Class of 2000, and a bus monitor for the Revere School System.

She was the beloved daughter of Louis P. Abric, IV of Revere and Alice P. Colantonio of Malden; cherished sister of Louis P. Abric, V, Philip L. Abric and Anthony F. Pirelli, all of Revere; adored granddaughter of Louis P. Abric, III and his wife, Joanne of Winthrop and the late Jeannette M. “Jean” Abric and the late Alice and John Colantonio; dear niece of Cheryl Mei of Lynn. She is also lovingly survived by her boyfriend, Paul Peters of Malden and her faithful canine companion, “Scooby Doo” and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Francis McCoy

Jordan Marsh Retiree

Francis J. McCoy of Lynn died at Salem Hospital on October 9 after a long illness. He was 77 years old.

A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a graduate of St. Patrick’s Grammar School, St. Mary’s High School and Emerson College. Before his retirement, he was an electronic inventory comptroller for Jordan Marsh.

He is survived by one brother, James J. McCoy, Jr. and one sister, Mildred M. Fisher and the brother of the late Thomas J. McCoy. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
