Robert Scopa

Late Proprietor of Chatham Food Mart of Lynn

Robert A. Scopa of East Boston died on March 23 after a long illness.

The late proprietor of Chatham Food Mart of Lynn, he was the beloved husband of Anna Marie (Venti) Scopa; loving father of Stephanie Scopa of East Boston; dear brother of Joseph Scopa of Florida and the late Ralph Scopa, Frances Quarentello, Anna Ciardo and Lorraine Fama. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

His Funeral will be held from Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St. Revere, Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Church, 45 Brooks St., East Boston at 10 a.m. Family and friends may visit today, Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Carolyn Garofano

Of Everett

Carolyn H. (Stack) Garofano of Everett died on March 18.

The wife of the late Joseph, she was the mother of Gina Demetrio of Everett, Edward and his wife, Debra of Lynn and Sarah Gill of New Hampshire; sister of Elaine Lanciani and her husband, Bob and Barbara Franco, all of Everett. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Scott and Devyn and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

David Reardon, Sr.

Former Member of Loyal Order of Moose

David A. Reardon, Sr. of Chelsea passed away at the Whidden Memorial Hospital in Everett on March 22.  He was 73 years old.

Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Francis and Ethel (Betts) Reardon.  David moved to Chelsea with his parents when he was just a child and has lived in Chelsea ever since.  He was a retired laborer having worked for various construction companies throughout the years, retiring at age 65 and is a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose of Chelsea.

He was the husband of the late Mary L. (Whiteknact); the beloved father of David A. Reardon Jr. and his wife, Sharon Butler of San Diego, CA, Joseph P. Reardon and his wife, Christy of Bradford, NH, Charles L. Reardon and his wife, Eva of Barnstead, NH and Scott J. Reardon and his wife, Lori of Chelsea; dear brother of James Reardon of Lynn, Jeremiah Reardon of Florida and the late Harold, Daniel, George, William, John Reardon and Mary Woody.  He is also lovingly survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren with another expected to arrive in a couple of months.

Funeral services will be conducted in the William R. Carafa & Son Home for Funerals, 389 Washington Ave.,  Chelsea today, Tuesday, March 26 at 11 a.m.  Relatives and friends kindly invited to attend.  Cemetery arrangements are private.
