Michael ‘Mickey’ Diranian

Longtime Owner of My Three Sons Restaurant in Chelsea

Michael “Mickey” Diranian of Saugus passed away on June 22.

The husband of Charlene M. (Tunis) Diranian. He was born and raised in Chelsea, the son of the late Garabed and Surpoohi (Bedian) Diranian and he has lived in Saugus for many years.

Michael served in the United States Army National Guard and was the owner of My Three Sons Restaurant in Chelsea for many years. An antique collector, he also enjoyed antique cars, loved gardening and reading and was an avid animal lover.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons; Michael Diranian and his wife Robin of Lynnfield, Christopher Diranian and his wife, Vanessa of Peabody and Nicholas Diranian and his wife, Stephanie of Reading; nine grandchildren: Jacob, Ethan, Lauren, Ava, Evan, Anna, Christopher, Trevor and Tia Diranian; a sister, Margaret (Diranian) Gaulden of Brockton as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Hiram, Andrew and Harold Diranian.

His funeral will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt 129), Lynn. Fr. Vasken A. Kouzouian of Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church in Cambridge will officiate. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
