All Care VNA & Hospice Volunteer Coordinator, Bailey Potter, of Danvers, is all smiles while staffing the All Care table for last year’s Topsfield Fair.

All Care VNA, long-time sponsors of the Topsfield Fair, will once again provide health care services and education, with some expanded offerings at this year’s fair, October 3-13. For the second year in a row, All Care, together with Home Care Specialists, will donate wheelchairs for rent to help older fairgoers unable to navigate the large grounds better enjoy the day in the comfort of a seat.

And new to the fair this year, All Care staff will host a free blood pressure clinic as well as information and educational resources on the importance of managing blood pressure.

John Palmisano, Topsfield Fair’s Sponsorship/Concessions Coordinator, says the Fair has a long-standing partnership with All Care. “All Care does such a great job in the community that we’re thrilled to be affiliated with them. People may not even realize all of the services older adults have access to in this area, so All Care’s presence at the fair is good public awareness.”

He is also pleased that All Care now sponsors the tent, located near the entrance, where the wheelchairs are rented. The Fair also rents strollers and Radio Flyer wagons for children.

“The wheelchairs are helpful to those fairgoers that have physical challenges and need to get around on the fairgrounds. We own a few, but working with All Care we now have them readily available to accommodate everybody needing this assistance.  The blood pressure screening and health education are also important to our fairgoers.”

Andy Kleiner, from Home Care Specialists headquartered in Haverhill, says that they have been working with All Care VNA and Hospice for several years—supplying equipment such as oxygen, hospital beds, and rehabilitation equipment—and are pleased to participate with the Topsfield Fair wheelchair donations.

“We always try to give back to the community via our customers, so we are happy to collaborate with All Care and donate the wheelchairs for this event,” he says.
