The City of Lynn has issued an official advisory regarding a schedule change for the Department of Public Works (DPW).
Effective Monday, July 6, the DPW front office will operate under a new, standardized weekly schedule.
The New DPW Front Office hours are Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Prior to this update, the DPW front office (located at 250 Commercial St.) operated on a staggered schedule that included an extended evening and a half-day. The old schedule was:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
By eliminating the extended Tuesday evening shift and the early Friday closure, the DPW is moving to a consistent, predictable 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM block across the entire workweek.
