Helen Lundquist

Hysil Retiree

Helen M. Lundquist, a lifelong resident of Revere, died on August 9 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston following a brief illness. She was 74 years old.

Born and raised in Revere, she was a 1955 graduate of Revere High School. For many years, she worked in the production department at Hysil Manufacturing of Revere.

She was the devoted mother of Mary M. Cechura of Revere,  Regina Gonya and her husband, Martin of Lynn, Deborah M. Kendall of Batesville, Mississippi, Dale T. Lundquist of Revere and Tonia M. Young and her husband, Randy of Poland, Maine; the cherished grandmother of Jamie, Christina, Katelyn, Dallas, Dakota, Jennifer, Marty, Christopher, Chelsea, Melissa, Zachary, Dale, Jr., Elizabeth and Meaghan. She is also lovingly survived by her great grandson Dante and by many devoted and caring nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Mary M. (Gilmore) Murray-Duffy who died on February 6, 2012 and the late Charles Murray and the sister of the late Thomas H. Duffy, Jr. and Frances Burke.

Julia Oneschuk

Lynn Resident

Julia Oneschuk of Lynn died after a brief illness on August 17 at Union Hospital in Lynn. She was 83 years old.

Born in Chelsea, she was the daughter of the late Feodosy and Feodora (Kozel) Oneschuk and is survived by her nephews, Jay Fenton and his wife, Arlene of Lynn, Jeff Fenton and his wife, Kate of Pittsburgh and Walter J. Oneschuk and his wife, Chris of Wakefield. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Walter Oneschuk.

Patrick ‘Pat’ Ralph Tauro

Raytheon Retiree

Patrick “Pat” Ralph Tauro of Lynn died on August 13 following a three year struggle with dementia. He was 79 years old.

Born and raised in Winchester, he was the son of the late Ralph and Lena Tauro. A US Air Force veteran who served during the Korean Conflict, he earned the rank of Airman 2nd class. Prior to his retirement, he worked at Raytheon in Waltham for 40 years as a tool crib operator.

He was the loving husband of Ann M. “Annie Mae” Tauro with whom he shared 45 years of marriage, the devoted father of Tonya Ann Tauro, dear brother of Connie Coombs and Janet Spellman. Patrick will always have a special place in our minds and hearts.

Services were held in the Goodrich Funeral Home,  Lynn,. Burial at a later date will be announced.

Eileen Buckley

Retired Shoe Industry Stitcher

Eileen Buckley of Burlington, NC, formerly of Lynn, died August 9 in North Carolina after a long illness.

She was 85 years old.

Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice T. (Hennessey) Buckley.  She attended Lynn Schools and was a graduate of Lynn English High School.   She lived in Lynn and Peabody for most of her life before moving to North Carolina six years ago.          Prior to her retirement, she worked as a stitcher in the Lynn Shoe Industry.

She enjoyed playing Bingo, crossword puzzles, watching Lawrence Welk and going to Mass. She was a former parishioner of Saint Ann’s Church of Peabody.

She leaves her sister, Marguerite George of Saxapahaw, NC and brother-in-law, John Daneluk of Beverly and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Rev. Robert Buckley, John Buckley, James Buckley, Phyllis Daneluk, Gertrude Buckley, Catherine Buckley, Mary Callahan and Claire Forrest.
