The St. Mary’s girls varsity soccer team matched up against Winthrop last Thursday evening at Manning Field in a rain-soaked battle that saw the Winthrop girls advance with a 1-0 win. St. Mary’s put in a hard-fought effort, but came up just short in the tournament game.
