He’s one of the few Republicans to be swept into local office here on the coattails of a great Democratic sweep.
He’s Donald Wong, the newly elected Representative from Saugus who will be representing Lynnfield Street and its environs.
He won a close race against Rep. Mark Falzone, who will be re-entering what former State Senate President Tom Birmingham once referred to as the dreaded private sector.
Falzone was a positive force.
However, Wong now has the opportunity to bring his point of view front and center and to do the right things for Saugus and for the ward in Lynn which he represents.
