New Restaurant Approved for Lewis Street

Bringing a piece of Boston to Lynn and the North Shore, the Lynn City Council Tuesday night approved a permit for The Neighborhood Restaurant Group (TNRG), which owns and operates several high-end, urban eateries in Boston and Newton, to open at 45 Lewis Street.

Attorney Samuel Vitali, representing TNRG noted that the proposed location of the new eatery has housed other restaurants in the past, but added that the plan is for the new owners to utilize the entire building, as opposed to just a portion of it.

The planned restaurant will be a full service restaurant with bar and grill and full service liquor establishment.

The address puts the new restaurant at the corner of Lewis and Burrill streets and is in the same spot most recently occupied by Mildred’s Corner Café and the Old Soul consignment clothing shop. The location is also an ideal spot to attract Swampscott, Marblehead and Salem diners as well.

Vitali did not say when the new restaurant would be ready to open, but it appears that the intention is to open sometime later this year.
