Eighteen-year-old Lynn teen, Bruno Zotarelli, was chosen to speak at Youth Enrichment Services (YES)’s recent Black Diamond Gala fundraiser on April 7, 2016. Bruno is active in YES’s Junior Volunteer Leadership program. At the event, he spoke about the positive impact that YES has had on her life. Bruno told the crowd, “YES has given me the opportunity to ski, snowboard, and so much more.”
Nearly 400 people attended the event, including Olympic Gold Medalist, Ted Ligety. Former Olympian and Alpine ski analyst, Doug Lewis, was the evening’s Master of Ceremonies. The event was co-chaired by YES Trustees, David Fitzgerald of CBRE and Ian Sanderson of Catabasis Pharmaceuticals.
The event raised a record-breaking $625,000 for Boston youth. Funds will support YES’s outdoor sports and leadership programs, including YES’s skiing and snowboarding program, Operation SnowSports, the Outdoor Adventure program, Girls Outdoor Adventure Leaders, and YES’s Junior Volunteer, College Preparation, and Career Exploration programs.
