Catmobile to Visit Lynn

The Merrimack River Feline Rescue Society Catmobile will visit Stop & Shop, 35 Washington St. in Lynn, on Thursday, July 28, to perform low-cost spay/neuter procedures.

Regular Catmobile prices are $80 for male cats, $120 for females, and $40 for all ferals. Cats of all ages belonging to Lynn and Chelsea residents are eligible for $20 spay/neuter procedures during July.

The Catmobile is staffed by a licensed veterinarian and one veterinary technician. The package consists of a brief exam, spay/neuter, rabies vaccinations for cats over 12 months of age (weighing 1.5kg/3.3 lb.), FVRCP vaccination and a nail trim. Individually packaged take-home flea treatment and microchipping are each available for an additional $15, although it is recommended that cats be given a flea treatment prior to this appointment. Microchipping is also available for an additional $15.

North Shore Community College (NSCC) will hold free information sessions on two high-growth career fields – Aesthetics and Skin Care and Information Technology (IT)- on August 8 at NSCC’s Danvers Campus, 1 Ferncroft Road in the Math and Science building.  The Aesthetics and Skin Care Program information session will be held at 4pm in room DS123 and the IT information session will be held at 5:30pm in room DS106.

 NSCC’s Aesthetics and Skin Care Program is a 300-clock hour licensing program – approved by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Cosmetology – that will provide you with the knowledge, and hands-on experience with the products, electrical equipment, techniques and popular trends used in the best known salons and spas.
