The City of Lynn, in coordination with the Lynn Veterans Council, will hold the North Shore Veterans and First Responders Parade in the city on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1 p.m.
Lynn Veterans Council President Wayne Johnson, Vice President Charlie Griffin, Secretary Sgt. Major Ken Oswald, Treasurer Dr. Peter Meaney, and Board Member David Solimine Sr. are the co-chairpersons of the parade.
“We have assembled a great contingent of marching bands, organizations, and school groups for the parade and we’ll be honoring our first responders – police, fire, and ambulance – and all veterans,” said Solimine. “The preparations are going very well, and we expect a large turnout for the parade.”
The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 27.
