Meghan Phelan, 17, of Lynn is in London, England this week to compete in the World Championships of Irish Dancing.
After a year of successfully competing at the New England Regional’s and U.S. National Championships, Phelan became one of the few dancers from the United States to qualify and be eligible to compete against the best dancers in the world. She and has been training daily for months with the elite Murray Academy and will be competing against dancers from Ireland, England, Germany, Scotland, Canada and New Zealand.
“She has worked tirelessly and sacrificed a lot to get to this level. We are very proud of her”, said her mother Stacy Phelan
