Mary Recca

Saugus resident

Mary (Amenta) Recca of Saugus, formerly of East Boston, died on December 29.

She was the wife of the late Angelo Recca; loving mother of Arlene Vargus of Lynn, Patricia Scanlon of Saugus and Joseph Recca of Stoughton; sister of one late brother and four late sisters; friend of the late Sal Alfonso; grandmother of six and great grandmother of four.

Funeral arrangements were by the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, Saugus. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St. Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.

Frances K. Ash of Chelsea died on December 28.

The devoted mother of Jay Ash and his wife, Susan, of Danvers, William Ash and his wife, Keiko, of Rutland, she was the dear sister of Anne Surawski and her husband, Joe, of Lynn; cherished grandmother of Kevin and Brian Ash, Taiichi, Kiichi, Junichi and Koichi Ash.

Charity Berniece Regens

East Boston resident

Charity Berniece (Day) Regens of East Boston died on December 22. She was 76 years old.

The beloved mother/mother-in-law of Jeannette and Ray Edwards of Boston, Joseph Light of Tennessee, Carol Hamilton of Florida, Stephen Regens of Boston, Christopher and Maryann Regens of Brockton, Heavear Regens of East Boston, Herrett Michael and Darlene Regens of Saugus, Hearear Michelle and George Norris of Lynn, and the late Humphrey Regens, she also leaves 18 grandchildren, one great-grandchild. She was the sister of Jean Paulette Day and Mary Day, both of Boston, Margaret Bonilla of Quincy, George P. Day of Boston and Perry Day of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews.
