The 2013-14 St. Mary’s High School girls basketball team celebrated its Division 3 state championship season at an awards banquet May 28 at the Gannon Golf Course.
Head coach Jeff Newhall presented awards to the players in recognition of their individual achievements and the team’s state title.
St. Mary’s won the KSA Classic at Disney World and defeated Winthrop in the North final at the Tsongas Center, Archbishop Williams in the state semifinal at the TD Garden, and Hoosac Valley in the state final at the DCU Center, to claim the program’s second state title in the past four years.
The team paid special recognition to its three seniors, Brianna Rudolph, Jennie Mucciarone, and Sharell Sanders, who combined for 3,409 points during their spectacular four-year careers.
