St. Mary’s boys cross country team wins CCL title

The St. Mary’s High boys cross country team won the Catholic Central League title for the second time in three years after defeating Cardinal Spellman and St. Joseph’s Prep last week. The Spartans finished with an 8-0 league record. Cody Murtagh of Peabody set a course record with a time of 16:36.8. St. Mary’s is 23-1 over the past three years. Tony Mwangi, Matt McManus and Mike Cerulli also came up big in the sweep.

St. Mary’s seeks girls lacrosse coach

St. Mary’s is seeking a varsity girls lacrosse coach to lead its spring program. Interested candidates should contact Athletic Director Jeff Newhall by email,[email protected] or phone, 781-586-2016. The successful candidate should have previous high school or college coaching experience.
