Late-game heroics and comebacks highlightaction-packed 2026 Agganis All-Star weekend

From a thrilling, 53-yard game-winning touchdown with 26 seconds left on the gridiron to a roaring, second-half lacrosse comeback, the 2026 Agganis All-Star Games delivered a weekend of pure drama across Lynn. The 64th annual showcase saw top-tier high school talent dominate local fields and courts, highlighted by MVP performance from Lynn English’s Shane Knowlton-Simard, who lifted the South football squad to a 12-10 victory at Manning Field, and a dominant North sweep on the basketball courts.

64th All-Star Football Game at Manning Field – June 28

South 12, North 10

Shane Knowlton-Simard of Lynn English made his last high school game count, catching the winning 53-yard TD pass with 26 seconds left to give the South a 12-10 win. Knowlton-Simard also returned an interception 46 yards for a score and earned MVP honors. For the North, St. John’s Prep tight end Brody Gillingham caught 4 passes for 65 yards and a TD and was named MVP. QB Drew Tisbert of Austin Prep threw for 157 yards and a TD.

31st All-Star Baseball Game at Fraser Field, Lynn  – June 28

SOUTH 2, NORTH 1

Fairhaven pitcher Ryan Pires pitched 4 hitless innings and struck out 9 to earn MVP honors for the South in a 2-1 win in a game where all the runs were scored in the first inning. Noah Meyer of Pentucket laced an RBI double for the North and was named MVP.

30th All-Star Girls Soccer Game at Manning Field, Lynn  – June 28 

NORTH 3, SOUTH 2

Sophie Skabeikis of St. Mary’s had two goals for the North and was named MVP in a 3-2 win. Harper Brooks of Manchester-Essex scored the other North goal. Isabella Strong had a goal for the South and earned MVP honors, while Lila Doucette of Danvers also scored.  

14th All-Star Girls Lacrosse Game at Manning Field, Lynn  – June 28 

SOUTH 13, NORTH 8

Team MVP Ava Nason of St. Mary’s and Madeline LeBlanc of Beverly each scored a hat trick as the South roared back from a 7-3 halftime deficit to take a 13-8 win. Goalie Eleni Spack of Peabody made 11 saves for the North in an MVP performance. Morgan Gallant of Pentucket and Allie Wile of Ipswich scored 3 goals each for the North.

14th All-Star Boys Lacrosse Game at Manning Field, Lynn  – June 28

NORTH 8, SOUTH 7

Long Stick Midfielder Dylan Mestjian of Melrose was a force on defense in earning team MVP honors for the North in an 8-7 win. Cooper Bellan of Blackstone Valley Regional scored two goals including the game-winner with four minutes left. Jason Rothwell of Swampscott and Ben Peshler of Blackstone Valley had 2 goals each for the North. Finnian Wright of Ipswich scored 3 goals for the South and earned MVP honors. 

28th All-Star Softball Game at Fraser Field, Lynn  – June 28

NORTH 8, SOUTH 6

North MVP Anna Gardner of Manchester-Essex had two hits and an RBI and pitched well in an 8-6 win. The South was led by MVP Catherine Morgan of St. Mary’s, who went 2-3 with 4 RBI. 

21st All-Star Girls Basketball Game at  Lynn Classical  – June 27 

Played in memory of Dan Boyle            

NORTH 63,  SOUTH 50

Olivia Gaynor of Peabody led the North with 12 points, while team MVP Celia Neilson of Bishop Fenwick had 8 points in a 63-50 win. South MVP Jenna Mishou of Archbishop Williams and Peyton DiBiasio scored 13 points each.

21st All-Star Boys Basketball Game at Lynn Classical  – June 27         

NORTH 83, SOUTH 59

Masconomet’s Jimmy Farrell scored all 13 of his points in the second half to lead the North to a 83-59 win and earn MVP honors. Dawson English of Winchester added 10 points. The South was led by Angel Sanchez of North Andover (13) and MVP Shyheim Babb of Lynn Classical (12).
