Radiation in the Rain

March 30, 2011

It sounds like the opening scene of a horror movie.

Radiation is reported to be in the rain in New England as a result of the nuclear reactor malfunctions in Japan.

And what do our public officials say?

Don’t worry. It isn’t harmful?

They tell us also that it isn’t in our water supply.

But doesn’t rain fall from the sky and into our reservoirs? And what if the radiation went higher and higher? What then?

There would be nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.

Public officials couldn’t tell us there is nothing to worry about when the radiation is everywhere.

And bottled water won’t do the trick if those reactors in Japan explode, spewing death everywhere.
