Boston Crossing Guard For More Than 25 Years
Rita T. (Fabiano) Tritto of East Boston passed away on Sunday, September 14. She was 81 years old.
She was a Crossing Guard for the City of Boston for over 25 years.
The beloved wife of the late Anthony Tritto, she was the loving mother of retired Boston Police Sgt. Maria Walsh and her husband, Thomas of Braintree, Janice Tritto and Lori Tritto and her wife, Jackie Carlino, all of Lynn and the late Toni Ann Tritto; cherished grandmother of Michael A. Walsh; caring sister of Anna Vellante of East Boston, Eleanor DePalma of Stoughton, Gerald Fabiano of Revere and the late Carmella Antonucci, Elizabeth Matt, Mary Spina, Frank, Alfred and Joseph “Tony” Fabiano. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will honor Rita’s life by gathering in Vazza’s “Beechwood” Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere, today, Thursday at 10 a.m. before leaving in procession to the Sacred Heart Church, East Boston for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in her honor at 11:30 a.m. Committal will follow in the Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
